  1. Develop and implement a comprehensive attack surface reduction strategy in line with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  2. Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and threats to our company's digital assets and client information.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement controls and processes to reduce the attack surface and mitigate risks.
  4. Monitor and analyze cyber threat intelligence to proactively identify emerging threats and vulnerabilities.
  5. Lead and manage a team of cybersecurity professionals to execute the attack surface reduction strategy and ensure its effectiveness.
  6. Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and developments in cybersecurity to continuously improve the attack surface reduction strategy.
  7. Work closely with other senior leaders to align the attack surface reduction strategy with the overall business goals and objectives.
  8. Communicate the importance of attack surface reduction to all levels of the organization and foster a culture of cybersecurity awareness and responsibility.
  9. Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and vendors to leverage their expertise and tools in reducing our attack surface.
  10. Create and maintain policies, procedures, and guidelines related to attack surface reduction and ensure compliance with them.
  11. Handle any security incidents or breaches in a timely and effective manner, including investigation, containment, and remediation.
  12. Regularly report on the status of attack surface reduction efforts to senior management and make recommendations for improvement as needed.
  13. Serve as a subject matter expert and provide guidance and training to other team members on attack surface reduction and risk management.

Job Qualifications


  • Extensive Experience In Cybersecurity: A Senior Director, Attack Surface Reduction At Vanguard Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Cybersecurity Principles And Practices, With At Least 10 Years Of Experience In The Field.
  • Strong Leadership And Communication Skills: This Role Involves Managing A Team Of Cybersecurity Professionals And Working Closely With Other Departments. The Ideal Candidate Should Have Excellent Leadership And Communication Skills To Effectively Lead And Collaborate With Others.
  • In-Depth Knowledge Of Attack Surface Reduction: The Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Different Attack Vectors And Techniques Used By Cybercriminals To Exploit Vulnerabilities. They Should Also Be Well-Versed In Various Attack Surface Reduction Strategies And Tools.
  • Proven Track Record Of Implementing Successful Security Measures: The Senior Director Should Have A Track Record Of Successfully Implementing And Managing Security Measures That Have Reduced The Attack Surface Of An Organization. This Includes Experience With Vulnerability Assessments, Penetration Testing, And Risk Management.
  • Strategic Thinking And Problem-Solving Skills: This Role Requires The Ability To Think Strategically And Develop Plans To Reduce The Attack Surface Of Vanguard's Systems And Networks. The Ideal Candidate Should Also Possess Strong Problem-Solving Skills To Address Any Security Issues That May Arise.
